@DJ_ILLIN_PAIN@cdiggi1 Oh my god yall are so insufferable. THEY did as a JOKE a decade ago for a podcast, and then made up a pretend award show 5 years ago also as a JOKE, and then both ended up becoming so popular that they ironically became real. The whole thing is campy and unserious!

It was met with near universal acclaim from critics, made multiple “best of” lists, and got nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, and Pixar took control of it because they felt the initial Disney pitch WAS a cash grab and they wanted to go against that
