Delegations from the Coalition of the Willing marching in the Bastille Day parade.
Virtually all of Europe is represented, along with Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and Turkey.
Such a beautiful message.
We took part in France’s military parade marking Bastille Day. Today, Ukrainian warriors also marched ceremonially down the Champs-Élysées, while our pilots flew Mirage fighter jets as part of joint French-Ukrainian crews.
It is a great honor for us to be here. Emmanuel’s invitation to our defenders is a sign of respect and recognition of the strength of Ukraine, our people, and our Armed Forces. We thank our warriors. We thank France and all our partners who stand with Ukraine.

Ukrainian troops were invited to march in France's Bastille Day parade in Paris today.
2 Ukrainian pilots also flew in their battle-tested French Mirage fighter jets over the city.
Macron announced yesterday that Ukraine will be buying 16 French Rafale fighter jets.
In Paris for the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
Ukraine has built strong military momentum. The tide is turning.
The EU is fully playing its part with our €90 billion Loan.
Today, we will also discuss how to protect Ukraine's skies from Russian drones and ballistic missiles.
We can and will do more.
We’re sanctioning Russia at speed and scale.
Today’s measures, together with the upcoming 21st sanctions package, will add 250 individuals and entities to the Russia sanctions regime.
This is our biggest round of individual designations since Moscow’s 2022 full-scale invasion, and includes also the EU’s largest-ever cyber sanctions package.
The financial backbone of Russia’s war machine is the main target. Every measure weakens Moscow’s ability to wage war.
My doorstep ahead of today’s Foreign Affairs Council ↓
Canada opposes any measures that risk normalizing Russia's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine. Our position remains clear: as long as Russia continues its unjustifiable invasion, it should not enjoy the privileges of international sport.
We continue to stand in solidarity with Ukraine and remain unwavering in our support for its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
I am appalled by the IOC’s decision to provisionally lift their sanction on the Russian Olympic Committee. Please see my statement on behalf of the Government of Canada, below:
Finally, someone is holding the International Olympic Committee accountable.
The IOC has spent years pretending that "neutral" status somehow separates russian athletes from the regime waging the largest war in Europe since World War II. Now, after restoring the russian Olympic Committee, it is facing consequences.
Estonia is calling on the European Commission to suspend EU funding to the IOC, arguing that sport must never become a backdoor for normalizing aggression. That's exactly right. Organizations that choose appeasement over principle should not expect European taxpayers to finance their hypocrisy.
Canada’s support for Ukraine is unwavering.
We’re allocating more funding to support their military, we’ve renewed Operation UNIFIER, and we’re working relentlessly with the Coalition of the Willing to secure a just and lasting peace.
At the NATO Summit, President @ZelenskyyUa and I focused on how our industries and workers can partner to build the drones and technologies that Ukraine needs to defend their territory.
I am deeply grateful to Canada for its new support package – a very substantial one worth $900 million. Our first concern is more air defense. Protecting lives is the main thing, and Russia's ballistic missile attacks, along with its other missile and drone strikes, are terror that must be confronted together with our partners. I am grateful to Canada, and to you personally, @MarkJCarney, for understanding this.
We are also preparing a Drone Deal between our countries. This is not only about drones – it is about building a new and effective security system, real capabilities proven in this war. It will definitely come in handy. During our meeting, Mark and I also discussed the current diplomatic situation. I shared ideas on how we can bring peace closer and create a real incentive for Russia to engage in negotiations. Canada has invited Ukraine to become a founding member of the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank. It will work to attract investment and develop defense industrial capacity and battle-tested technologies. Thank you!
There is no more important topic for NATO leaders in Ankara than how to provide more missile defense interceptors to Ukraine asap. Defeating Putin in Ukraine very concretely enhances the security of all NATO members. Abstract blather about 5% spending (sandwiched with sycophantic praise for Trump) is a distraction to actual NATO security priorities)
Today, Russia launched more devastating missile and drone strikes on Ukraine. Canada unequivocally condemns Russia’s aggression and will continue to support Ukraine as it defends its people and sovereignty. #StandWithUkraine
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that ‘any delay’ in sending Patriot interceptor missiles ‘means the loss of lives and it encourages Russia to continue the war’. https://t.co/EwnNwJjNOS
