And yes, I will also fault some bl/gL fans because sometimes they don't know how to communicate their criticism without becoming insulting but you can separate the insults from the actual criticism and still pay attention to the valid points being made.

It has been years, things are starting to feel stale in some areas and I genuinely think it's time to level up

There are so many amazing source materials and different storytelling approaches out there, Learn from them experiment bring in new writers bring in new directors give different people opportunities to show what they can do.

And honestly, in my opinion, I think @GMMTV needs to seriously consider changing up some of its directors and screenwriters.

Not because the people currently working there are incapable but because sometimes you need fresh perspectives to prevent things from becoming repetitive.

Criticizing your work your acting, your directing or your storytelling does not automatically mean we hate you. Sometimes it simply means we want you to do better because we know you can.

@GMMTV I genuinely hope you take some of the criticism from your audience seriously and use it to improve.

Now, I’m not saying GMMTV is the only company with this issue.

The Thai entertainment industry at large has same issues.

I’m mentioning GMMTV specifically because I consume a lot more of their shows than those from other companies, so naturally, I have more to say about them.

This is a long one so I am dividing it into two parts. Please make sure to check the second post for the rest.

Before writing this, I was honestly contemplating whether I should or shouldn’t say it, but damn it, so far I am not insulting anyone, so we’re good.

It is honestly disheartening to see what my fellow viewers have been facing people have been complaining about these series so bitterly, and I understand them because I took my time to watch MS and I genuinely found myself asking, what exactly is this series about? why does the writing feel so lazy and lackadaisical?

But that’s not even why I’m here.

@GMMTV,you are one of the biggest entertainment companies in Thailand, if I’m not mistaken,and yes,I understand that there are certain things you can and cannot control.

But I want to remind you of something BL/GL is global now. People all over the world are watching Thai bl/gl,not just Thai audiences.

We are no longer in that era where people watch a BL series and simply accept whatever is given to them without saying anything.I am a consumer.

I spend money on subscriptions to watch these series, so if there is something I genuinely don’t like,I have every right to talk about it constructively

Art is meant to be criticized.
So I don't think the actors, producers, directors,or screenwriters should automatically take criticism as hate If anything constructive criticism should be an opportunity to look at what isn't working and improve.

People have been complaining about different aspects of your recent series. and please,don't get me wrong, you have also been doing some great things and I will always commend you when you get things right.

But can you please listen to your audience and actually work on the things people have been pointing out

I’m not trying to undermine your directors, but sometimes it genuinely feels like certain stories, directing styles and approaches are being recycled over and over again. And I'm sorry, but we are no longer in that era.

I might not have been around during the early days of BL, but as a Gen Z viewer, I know good storytelling when I see it.

Sometimes the problems go beyond the story itself. There are issues with attention to detail, writing, directing, editing, camera angles and so many other things. And these are things viewers notice.

So I want to ask why not work with different directors and see what they can bring to the table? Why keep relying on the same approaches when there are so many talented people out there who could bring something fresh?

I honestly think @GMMTV has become a little too comfortable, and perhaps that is partly because the fans love their favourite actors so much that they will support almost anything they are given.
And I understand that fans love their faves.

But I also think that sometimes that support can make companies less pressured to improve.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with learning from others we all learn every day.

It is frustrating to see people raise genuine concerns about acting, directing, writing, editing and other aspects of production only for everything to be translated into “hate.”

i promise you no one hates you.

Moving on to Jasper’s concert update 👀 Pond shared that the setlist and selected songs are now around 70–80% complete while the four members have already started rehearsals and are focusing heavily on building their chemistry as a group.

They have also cleared their individual schedules to focus on rehearsals and they’re working on a new song, this is good news! We all can't wait 🥰

He also added that since this is their first big concert together as a boyband they are a little nervous about ticket sales and the pressure that comes with doing something completely new.

But they’re determined to give everything they have and make the concert a memorable one for fans. It's like jasper doesn't know the power they hold. Well we wish them good luck
