@aitaikimochi It’s harsh. Leveling is hard, very grindy. Gear is hard to come by back in the day (not sure now). Gil is a grind too. Crafting is insane, gathering nodes are globally shared (not sure about now) most crafted gears are best gears. Notorious Monster farming has weird timers

@dreadvwolf It’s playing the market, taking up crafting items that’s required for synths, rare item drops from your retainers with both 18 hour and hour hunts. Gathering rare materials (timed ones), fishing rare fishes that can be desynthed for rarer items, there’s a lot of ways
