@JW_the_3rd Probably BIS, but I think Partners in Time deserves some love. It’s got some weird mechanics and is a bit long, but the story and characters, like in BIS, are what make the game. BIS definitely did it better though.

@TheNCSmaster Paper Mario solidified Bowser as a good comedic villian, but Mario RPG: LotSS was what kickstarted Bowser and his humor. Probably one of my favorite Bowser portrayals.
