I think people are missing the point of this. It’s an artefact that our runner knows *nothing* about. Our whole thing is selling and taking jobs. We find this, have no clue, and sell it to whoever will offer. There’s even flavour text in lore like “who tf did you sell this to?”
The game is ridiculously fun and the story is shaping up to be incredibly unique. A group of people put their heads together and tried to make something wholly unique but because big number doesn’t go big it’s concord 3 (not what Tassi said, but a common sentiment)
People are so mad at bungie man. They’re expecting D2 numbers. Did you all expect league of legends numbers when riot launched valorant? They’re trying something new in a very new market. Let them be creative. The world’s confused art for consumerism. You are not entitled to art.
This character silhouette is so funny. It’s like ‘ah man she’s a tank, how do we communicate that easily through her model’ then one dev was like “hold my beer”
upon looking back, scholars found ‘I made you a cookie but I eated it’ to be the single point of failure, the catalyst, if you will, toward the millennial mindset
@flexicutionyt It’s not very good. It’s just over a minute and a half long and is the same hook like three times. I appreciate where he is artistically, trying new things, but personally these sidequest tracks haven’t been for me. Hoping we get a proper rollout for something soon
Hideo Kojima re-wrote the story of Death Stranding 2 because too many people liked it.
"I’m going to be very honest, we have been testing the game with players and the results are too good. They like it too much. That means something is wrong; we have to change something." Kojima told Woodkid half-way through production
Kojima then "changed stuff in the script and the way some crucial stuff happens in the game", because he was afraid it wasn't "polarising enough and not triggering enough emotions".
"If everyone likes it, it means it’s mainstream. It means it’s conventional. It means it’s already pre-digested for people to like it. And I don’t want that. I want people to end up liking things they didn’t like when they first encountered it, because that’s where you really end up loving something."
Honestly I fully respect Kojima for having the courage to do something like this, we need more artists in this industry who take more risks and don't make brand-safe products meant target everyone.
A game for everyone is a game for no one.
