@schweighartcpa@edgecitykid@omgsidewalks It’s maddening the communities are doing back to school supply drives in districts that provide all the school supplies now! I get that the kids need supplies at home for homework-but the drives for donations for Teachers, free backpack, school supplies and our taxes pay already
@schweighartcpa@edgecitykid@omgsidewalks The teachers have added tissues, Clorox cleanups, paper towels, printer paper, hand sanitizer! That’s not school “supplies “ - we pay the highest amount per child in school taxes. Basic supplies should be part of the budget-not crowd sourced!!!!
@LMiner86@DerekJMiller2@omgsidewalks Medicare doesn’t cover it, long term care insurance is so expensive only wealthy can afford it, Medicaid will claw back all your assets you thought you would pass to your heirs.
@SaltyGoat17@raylachen And politicians screaming to make it the “Universal Healthcare “ solution!!😳😳😳. The amount I’m paying for 2ndary with spouse Medicare Primary and me as a retiree - is insane !
@edgecitykid@omgsidewalks They should be negotiating and buying bulk through the leverage of state contracts. The savings on basic supplies ALONE should be worth it. I sent my last son with my supply hoard box (couponing scores) and donated it to the school on his last day.
@MaxNordau Never got my $2,500/ year savings! Still waiting in 2026. State pension and SS COLA don’t keep up with Medicare Part B + Supplemental Gap insurance. Loosing ground every year.
@LMiner86@DerekJMiller2@omgsidewalks We had to leave our home town to flee an economically depressed area-just far enough from family to have zero support. We made our life, home and retirement. We paid the full cost of daycare to do it. Still in our starter home in retirement.
@RealWayneRoot Keep screaming that to the masses that are touting it as the universal healthcare solution!!! NOPE-It’s NOT FREE! And you better have good savings or cash flow to pay your 20% care + monthly premiums and prescriptions! OR, by supplemental plans OR join a Part C plan!!
@VigilantFox I doubt that they will ever open. The cost and schedule overruns for the build out will be astronomical and deemed unaffordable. No NY project comes in anywhere near the initial budget.
@ViralNewsNYC@ManhattanDA Why the devil did he have access after termination? Standard operating procedure is coordinate with IT to revoke all system access at the same time or just before termination notification is given.
@UnmaskTheSys All of us citizens were raised in “ignorance of the law is no defense “. In tax and criminal matters. Illegal immigrants should get no more protection from than citizens. Seeing kids deported is heartbreaking, but law isn’t about feelings-definitely not with citizens!!!!
@GeriPerna@DerrickEvans4WV My kids rode the bus for 1/2 hour every morning to get to the elementary school ACROSS THE STREET! Rural location, no walking and I had a 30-40 minute commute to work, so couldn’t do parent drop off!
@VickieforNYC We’ve been yowling for years that throwing more $ isn’t the solution. Our small, rural school district has been able to keep spending under control, but the freeing seams are evident. Functal, responsible districts are now failing too. It’s incompetence or planned.
