Melvin Kravitz, 66, was a member of the Jewish community in Manchester, England. He was killed on October 2, 2025, during the terrorist attack on Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue in Crumpsall, as worshippers gathered for Yom Kippur. Kravitz was attacked outside the synagogue after the assailant drove into people and then attempted to enter the building.

A sociable, warm, and helpful person. His family said that Melvin “would do anything to help anyone” and described him as someone who was always eager to stop, chat, and actually get to know people. They emphasized that he was deeply devoted to his wife, Karen, his family, and his community
