Insane opinion from Cunningham, my jaw actually dropped when he said Raya doesn't do enough in terms of coming off his line and dominating the box.
It's possibly his best attribute, he's in the top 1% for crosses claimed. Props to Given for completely disagreeing.
The treble/quadruple Arsenal talk started in January if not before
That's setting an impossible bar that's been reached almost never in football history.
If they win the Premier League, that IS a massive success. Reaching the CL quarter-finals, on the back of the semis last year, IS success. They are growing.
Comparing them to the greatest sides in history and then criticise them every time they fall short, more than holding them to high standards, is IMO just a way to deny them credit for what they're actually achieving.
Having said that, today is certainly a disappointment.
Both statements are true.
Absolutely pathetic performance. Arsenal got exactly what they deserved and we haven't been good enough for weeks now. 2 wins in our last 7 - 12 points from a possible 21.
But we're not allowed to be frustrated or worried because we get touches in the opposition box. Fuming.
A few years ago my best mate was out for lunch at Soho House.
Arteta and his family were sat at a table eating. My mate (Arsenal fan) spotted him straight away, but is a decent person and respected his privacy.
Naturally though, he couldn’t help himself looking over (cont)
Zubimendi and Odegaard completely dominated that match in the second half. Those two had the most touches, passes, passes in the final third and duels won. Odegaard also won possession more times than any player on the pitch. #AFC
Bukayo Saka scores again for England against Serbia tonight which takes his tally to 14 goals for his country in total.
At only 24-years-old he’s now England’s 34th all-time record goal scorer.
The sky is the limit. 🏴
