@Martyupnorth You're right. If Canada was a more decentralized federation, Ottawa would not be imposing bilingualism. Bilingualism would be a New Brunswick issue. Everyone would be less irritated if we had more decentralization.
@eagle177698@marie_ide80526@ProtecttheFaith@MesleyMark Catholic government isn't necessarily monarchical. The Republics of Genoa and Venice were destroyed by French Revolutionary Forces in 1797 and both were Catholic, not Protestant.

Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, and John C. Calhoun: Talking Heads on the Right are As Dumb as Those on the Left
There should be a rule that before you invoke the name John C. Calhoun, you must have read Margaret L. Coit’s biography. Then you would know he died in early 1850, more than a decade before the Confederate States of America was established. You would also know the difference between nullification and secession. Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon are confused on all counts.
In a discussion of the current issues in California, Steve Bannon links Gavin Newsom to actions in 19th century American history.
“This whole thing of sanctuary cities, and sanctuary States is actually a neo-Confederate mentality.”
Tucker excitedly and emphatically agrees and tells Bannon “I’m stealing that by the way. It is so good.” Bannon then shifts to “Jackson before the Civil War” and talks about John C. Calhoun, tariffs and South Carolina. He explained that Calhoun was Jackson’s vice president and that Calhoun went to South Carolina to assist South Carolina in resisting the tariff. Bannon continues, “Jackson said I’m going to call the Army down there and if Calhoun is defying me, I’m going to hang him from the first lamppost.”
The last statement is great podcast fodder but there appears to be nothing in primary sources indicating that Jackson ever said such a thing about Calhoun. The real problem though is the history and dates.
Bannon is referring to the Nullification Crisis that took place in 1832. This is a generation before the Confederacy. The Mexican-American war, which Calhoun opposed, was still 14 years away. While many secondary sources conflate secession and nullification (or right of interposition as Calhoun referred to it) they are not the same thing. By this time in the country’s history, the North had made more overtures towards secession than the South had.
In December of 1860, individual Southern States began seceding from the United States. Calhoun was dead and the Southern States were making independent decisions in state conventions whether to secede. They were not resisting individual federal laws. They were declaring independence as they thought they had a right to do.
Referring to the actions by the State of California as Confederate in any way is nonsense and seems to be done as a virtue signal. It is evidence that people on the political right are as dumb as those on the left. They hate the South as much too.
St. Pius X to Theodor Herzl, 1904
“We are unable to favor this movement. We cannot prevent the Jews from going to Jerusalem – but could never sanction it. The ground of Jerusalem, if it were not always sacred, has been sanctified by the life of Jesus Christ. As head of the Church, I cannot answer you otherwise. The Jews have not recognized our Lord, therefore we cannot recognize the Jewish people. And so if you come to Palestine and settle your people there, we will be ready with churches and priests to baptize all of you."
Japan's most senior oncologist professor Fukushima drops bombshell:
"Genetic vaccines are totally unacceptable. The introduction of transgenes into the human body is gene therapy.
How can this be considered acceptable for creating vaccines? If you encapsulate mRNA in nanoparticles and administer it you only get off target effects starting from the ovaries, to the brain, liver, spleen and bone marrow.
The biggest problem is going to the bone marrow, the reproductive organs like the ovaries and then every possible organ.
The fact that spike proteins are still detected in the rash after more than a year makes it obvious that mRNA is producing spike proteins.
There is no way for a year old spike protein to remain in the rash and be detected. I didn't choose to get vaccinated because I think it was a foolish decision from the beginning..."
"While I hear it said everywhere that slavery is dead, I cannot learn who killed it. No thoughtful man could contend that Lincoln's proclamation...liberated a single slave....The President did not pretend to abrogate the Slave Laws of any of the States." Thad Stevens, 1865
"Take, on the other hand, a consolidated Government—the States but mere petty corporations—and what would be the consequences?...It would be a mere Government of parchment, dependent on the will of an arbitrary majority..."
-Sen John Tyler (D-VA) 2/6/1833

The warmongering fake Conservatives want to send more of your tax dollars to Zelensky and “speed up and increase the flow of essential weapons to Ukraine”.
They think the $12 billion that Trudeau has already sent is not enough.
Do CPC voters support that?
Centralized power in Ottawa makes it much easier to destroy the country. Bad policies apply uniformly everywhere and there is no way to escape them. That’s what’s been happening during nine years of Trudeau.
That’s why we need to radically decentralize the federation. Downsize federal programs. Eliminate all federal intrusions in provincial jurisdictions. And let provinces experiment and be more autonomous in how they manage their own affairs. We can do all this without reopening the constitutional can of worms.
It wouldn’t necessarily solve everything of course. Some provincial governments like Ford in Ontario or Eby in BC are as bad as Trudeau. The woke socialist elites have hijacked all our institutions everywhere.
But it would limit the damages and clear the way for a possible renewal. It would remove federal shackles and make it easier for provinces that want to innovate, by limiting the number of immigrants or fixing our disastrous socialist health care system for exemple. It would bring more contrast between good and bad governance, and more incentives for provinces to compete and emulate what works.
Poilievre’s fake Conservatives only want at best to slow down some of Trudeau’s destructive policies, without any ambitious downsizing of the federal government and rebalancing of the federation. This is bound to fail and will just pave the way for the next destructive cycle. Just like Harper with his weak “incrementalist” strategy did nothing of consequence, was only obsessed with power, and ended up simply opening the door for Trudeau to quickly sweep away his tiny legacy and impose his far left agenda on the country.
Unless we are ready to adopt more ambitious reforms, this country will fall apart within a decade or two.
It may be Quebecers or Albertans voting to separate. Or a breakdown or social order due to increasing ethnic tribalism and balkanization. Or the country going bankrupt after a global debt and monetary reset.
The Reform Party proposed similar reforms in the 1990s and it could have worked if they had persisted. But they diluted their program and merged with the establishment leftist PCs instead.
Today, only the PPC is aware of this and proposes solutions. Our voice is crucial. If you agree, support it before it’s too late.
Japanese Professor Delivers Stunning Message Everyone Needs to Hear
“The pandemic was used as a false pretext by the WHO to drive vaccinations of all peoples in the world.”
He says the fraudulent use of “experimental gene therapy to healthy people” was not only an “extreme violation of human rights,” but “the result was the induction of the terrible drug-induced injury that has never [been] seen in human history.”
