I decided to tweak the strategy of my channel, pivoted from shorter "analytical" videos to longer story based basketball videos. Been browsing Twitter space and many Youtube guru's agreed that watch time is king on Youtube (duh) so why not make longer videos? @thatdenverguyYT
@thatdenverguyYT Ben Simmons topic has dozens of videos on Youtube, most of them are 8min long, so I did a 24min video. Will be interesting to see will it reach my goal of 100k views.
AVD and watch time as a whole looks great.
Great example of how to never give up on your videos, did some title and thumbnail changes, idk the impact my adjustments had, but the video started gaining traction.
I remember 2010 FIBA World Cup when Kevin Durant was just 21 dominating the whole competition, scored 38 points against team Lithuania.
Not the biggest fan of Olympics basketball but if it means best players competing for team US, I'm all for it.
Kevin Durant wants to dominate in the Olympics and beat other countries by 40-50 points
“I want to really make a statement on how dominant our players are. Like 40, 50-point wins. I want to do that.”

Anyways, NBA is pretty lenient with copyright claims, all of them got lifted in the past in +-24 hrs, just can't understand why this one particular video claim takes so long to review.
Youtube is funny.
I recently got a claim from Videocites, AI content protection service. They claimed my newest video, I immediately disputed the claim and it's still under dispute.
Meanwhile, today I checked my external views and I found that the claimant reviewed my video for 27secs three days ago but couldn't come to an conclusion to either lift the claim or keep it lol
Asian Ad Revenue hits different, the spike was US audience watching the video, the drop came after the video reached Filipino audience.
Nevertheless planning to do a video about Philippines basketball.
@kylekuzma Yeaaa idk man, the games I've seen of Pistons they are always competitive till the end, as they can't close out games.
Meanwhile for Wizards the whole game is just garbage time.
@tropicsocial Title and thumbnail draws interest and your video (depending how good it is) keeps that interest.
It's all gucci when ur big enough and you don't need to hyper focus on drawing attention, but when ur small title and thumbnail is a huge focus.
@tropicsocial Bad take. Youtube titles don't matter for big creators like MrBeast, they can upload a video with an empty title and people will still click on it.
I don't get it what title has to do with auto play? People still need to hover on the video to play it, thus the title.
Let's see how Detroit holds this lead, all Pistons games this season were fairly competitive up until the 4th quarter. The team can't really close out games (no wonder) nor they know how to maintain a lead this big. Fun basketball awaits in the second half.
