Thicker Than Your Skin is for people who notice what’s happening, get curious about why humans do what they do, and don’t need every conversation to end with an answer.
Stories. Questions. Behaviour. Absurdity.
We notice. We explore. We live anyway.
First proper podcast live: DONE.
Two hours.
First go.
No script to hide behind.
A few technical gremlins trying to unionise in the background.
And I bloody did it anyway.
Plenty to refine. Plenty to learn.
But today I’m giving myself the pat on the back.
Turns out the hardest part wasn’t talking for two hours.
It was pressing GO LIVE.
Break Room is officially open.
Cake is mandatory.
Complaints can be submitted tomorrow. 😂🎂
@iiLLuMNaTii That makes me so happy . In the battle field that is this platform I’m here to give the battle weary some solace and a place to rest in hope that we can be better than we are without losing the ability to play and make fun of ourselves .

One last thought before we leave the office.
Sometimes you don’t realise how well someone treated you until they stop.
Not because they became cruel.
Because they stopped compensating for the ways you treated them.
They stopped making excuses.
Stopped smoothing things over.
Stopped giving you another chance to get it right.
And suddenly the relationship feels very different.
Funny that.
Sometimes what you thought was an easy relationship was actually a good person doing a lot of invisible work to keep it that way.
Treat good people accordingly.
They’re allowed to eventually decide they’ve done enough.
Clocking out. 🕰️
View from the Cubicle Bubble burst hybrid today -
There’s a lot of judging people by the company they keep lately.
Who they know.
Who they worked with.
Who they used to be friends with.
Who they follow.
Who they once stood beside.
Apparently association is evidence now.
Interesting.
Because while we’re examining everyone else’s relationships, we might want to take a quick look at our own.
Especially the relationships that can convince us to charge into somebody else’s argument, defend things we haven’t verified, attack people we don’t know, and involve ourselves in situations that had absolutely nothing to do with us five minutes earlier.
Maybe the question isn’t only:
“Who do you associate with?”
Maybe it’s:
“Who has enough influence over you that their conflict becomes your conflict?”
You can learn something about people from the company they keep.
You can learn even more from the company they’ll abandon their own judgment for.
Pop. 🫧
