A billionaire can write off a private jet as a business expense, but a teacher can't write off the crayons she bought for her classroom. A CEO can deduct a $500 steak dinner, but a nurse can't deduct the scrubs she's required to wear.
BOOMER: "Nobody wants to work anymore."
YOU: "I work 50 hours a week."
BOOMER: "Doing what, on a computer?"
YOU: "Yes. It pays $58,000."
BOOMER: "I made $18,000 and owned a house."
YOU: "That's the whole point."
BOOMER: "We didn't complain, we just worked."
YOU: "You worked one job and got a pension. I work one job and get a 401k match if I'm lucky."
BOOMER: "Nobody handed me anything."
YOU: "College was $600 a year. Your first house was 2x your salary. Your employer covered your family's health insurance."
BOOMER: "That was normal back then."
YOU: "Exactly. It was normal. Now it's impossible."
BOOMER: "So what do you want, a handout?"
YOU: "I want what was normal."
BOOMER: *silent*
You didn't outwork us.
You just lived in the version of the country where working was enough.

The most impactful lesson I’ve learned over the past few years is that disrespect is a reflection of inner thoughts and true feelings.
Pay attention to how people carry you and your name beloved..

Can you imagine as a prerequisite all seniors choose a kindergartners to mentor and teach....... teaching the seniors patience and pride, and the kindergartners have someone to look up to ( not in their family)
And when the seniors graduate, the kindergartners will graduate with them (into first grade)
That would be an AWESOME program!
Just a reminder the petition has 180 days from the filing date, which was 04 May 26, to gather the required signatures. That puts the deadline around Halloween to sign. So before you beat feet to trick or treat, sign that sheet.
