His ultimate sacrifice during the freedom struggle shook the roots of the British Empire and inspired people across India to unite against colonial rule.

He was only 35 when he sacrificed his life for the country’s freedom. His noble ideal was evident from his words, “Amra morbo, jagat jagbe” which meant, “We shall die to awaken the nation.”

वेस्ट एशिया में युद्ध की स्थिति बनी हुई है, दुनिया अब भी पेट्रोलियम और नेचुरल गैस की बड़ी supply चुनौतियों से जूझ रही है। ग्लोबल supply chains पर दबाव है और international trade भी कई अड़चनों का सामना कर रहा है।

लेकिन इन मुश्किल हालात के बीच भी भारत की growth story थमी नहीं।

प्रधानमंत्री @narendramodi जी के नेतृत्व में भारत ने 7.8% की शानदार आर्थिक वृद्धि दर्ज कर दुनिया को दिखा दिया कि मुश्किल परिस्थितियों में भी 140 करोड़ भारतीयों का सामर्थ्य और भारत की मजबूत economy अपनी रफ्तार बनाए रख सकती है।

नया भारत संकटों से घबराता नहीं, उन्हें अवसर में बदलकर आगे बढ़ता है।

Imports पर dependence कम, industries के लिए supply chain ज्यादा responsive और देश की foreign exchange position को मजबूती……

PM @narendramodi जी के मार्गदर्शन में नया भारत इसी मंत्र पर आगे बढ़ रहा है।

कभी सोचा है, paint की can, printing ink और drilling rig में क्या common है?
इन सबके पीछे इस्तेमाल होने वाले specialised De-aromatised Solvents (DAS) का connection है।

मार्च 2026 में BPCL के DAS प्रोजेक्ट के शुरू होने से ऐसे import-substitute products का domestic production मजबूत हुआ है। इससे industries को imports पर कम निर्भर रहना पड़ेगा, inventory और lead time कम होंगे और जरूरत के समय product की availability बेहतर होगी।

और सबसे बड़ी बात, भारत अब सिर्फ़ अपनी जरूरत पूरी करने की दिशा में नहीं बढ़ रहा, बल्कि इस niche segment में global markets के लिए भी नई possibilities खोल रहा है।

On a sad day for our family, my mami Dr. Surinder Himmat Singh Ji has passed away. She leaves behind a legacy we, and our coming generations, will always cherish and be proud of.

The foundation of the India we live in today was laid by ordinary Indians who rose on the wings of extraordinary dreams. One such person was my Mami Ji, affectionately known as Dr. Sweety Singh to generations of her students.

Her life journey, from overcoming the ravages of Partition to breaking the glass ceiling that existed for women in her time, is truly remarkable and deeply inspirational.

In 1953, when I was just a year old, women’s education and empowerment were still taking their first tentative steps. At that time, Mami Ji was among the pioneering women who entered the medical profession and helped open doors for generations that followed. She completed her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College and, in the early 1960s, returned to the same premier institution as a member of its faculty.

We were pleasantly surprised when Lakshmi’s school friend, Dr. Rita Pathania, shared with photos of Mami Ji being felicitated at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the 1975 batch of Lady Hardinge Medical College.

The photographs she shared took me on an unexpected journey down memory lane. Alongside the pictures from the felicitation were several beautiful B&W photographs from decades ago.

One photograph, in particular, had brought back a flood of memories. It is a picture of me as a young boy, sitting with my entire family. I understand that it was taken after my parents and I returned from Bonn, where my father was posted. We then lived for two years with my Mama Ji and Mami Ji.

These photographs remind me of the remarkable woman sitting there, my Mami Ji, who had quietly forged her own path at a time when very few women had the opportunity to do so.

Her story is a reminder that nation-building is not always about grand public moments. Sometimes, it happens quietly - in classrooms, hospitals, homes and families, through people who choose to challenge the limitations of their times.

Her memory and extraordinary life will always be celebrated.

Acts of terrorism and mindless violence against innocent people know no borders and remain a grave threat to global peace, security and human values. Having experienced the scourge of terrorism first-hand, India remains steadfast in its commitment to zero tolerance for terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

On this solemn anniversary, we remember the victims and stand with their families and all those affected by terrorism around the world.

It was a pleasure to meet a delegation from China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), led by its Chairman, Mr. Dai Houliang, in New Delhi today.

India and China are among the world’s largest energy consumers and importers, with significant shared interests in energy market stability. Our energy needs will shape the future of global oil demand.

Several senior officials from @PetroleumMin and CMDs of India’s energy sector PSUs were present in the meeting with CNPC.

BRICS today represents nearly half of the world’s population, around 40% of global GDP and more than a quarter of global trade. Its combined GDP has grown nearly 4.5 times, outpacing the global economy.

Addressing the BRICS Business Forum in New Delhi today, PM Sh @narendramodi Ji highlighted how the grouping has emerged as an increasingly important force in the global economy.

As PM Modi said, India is playing an important role in helping BRICS translate its growing economic weight into meaningful opportunities. This growing strength must translate into increased trade, greater investment, innovation and shared prosperity.
