Maybe if Bear said I wish Nikki's love for me was romantic and not a sibling love. Because I truly believe she loved him as a sibling and that love was more pure than his obsession for her.
What if Bear had wished, “I want Nikki to love me as much as I love her” instead?
Would things still have ended in complete disaster, or would a less extreme wish have changed anything?
Instead of forcing her to love him more than anyone else in the world, it’s simply Bear asking for her feelings to match his own.

Exactly also Nikki didn't ask him to kill himself to free her because it was his fault but she didn't because he loved him. Her sibling love for him was more pure and true than his obsession with her.
Exactly. Bear's greatest fear was never losing Nikki—it was being unwanted. That's why, even when she begged him to end her suffering, he still made the moment about himself.
Nikki loved Bear like brother & that love was more real & pure than his "love" for her. She could've told him to unalive himself because it's his fault but she didn't. She loved him too much to ask him to do that so instead she asked him to unalive her. #obsession@JB_JeffBarker
@Daykerpriest Yes and people try to villainize her saying she went after her friends man. I bet she told the real Nikki she liked Bear days before the wish and thought Nikki went after Bear to not only hurt her but to also hurt Ian. So of course she's being protective of Bear.
@RollingStone Not his death that most are mad about. It's the fact that Homelander didn't even do anything before he died. No scorch earth. No army trying to fight him. Nothing.
Did you know that Black Noir II somehow caused more planetary damage than Homelander in Season 5?
Homelander’s been treated like the final boss for years, but Noir literally caused the worst oil disaster in human history. Entire ecosystems destroyed, irreversible environmental damage, and probably a few species wiped out because of him.
Meanwhile, Homelander’s biggest recent achievement was sending one guy to space.
So purely by stats alone, Black Noir II might actually be the biggest villain in the series now.
It’s hilarious that by refusing to give Homelander a full rampage in the finale, the show accidentally made Noir objectively worse.
I am very anti ai but I am loving all the videos I see of fans making a better ending like Homelander and Butcher fighting in the sky or Homelander going completely crazy mass killing. #TheBoys@TheBoysTV@therealKripke
What Eric Kripke doesn'y understand is that the fans who hate Trump also hated the ending. Not because Homelander got killed, it's because he didn't do anything! Scorched Earth? More like Scorched office. Homelander was way scarier in season 1 & 2 before V1. #TheBoys
