Israeli airstrikes targeted the Christian-run Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza. This was the last fully functioning hospital in northern Gaza.

The strike caused extensive damage to vital infrastructure, destroying the emergency room, pharmacy, and laboratory and leaving the hospital entirely out of service.

The World Health Organization reported that the bombing forced the evacuation of patients and staff, with at least one child dying due to disrupted medical care.

The attack sparked global outrage, with countries like Qatar condemning it as a "horrific massacre" and a serious breach of international humanitarian law.

The hospital, managed by the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem since its founding in 1882, provided vital healthcare for over a million residents.​
The deliberate strike is another example of Israel's systematic attack on healthcare services in Gaza.
