@GraceConfessins imo "rooms-like" and "doors-like" are like seperate, yet similar genres.
if a game is just about going through rooms and avoiding entities, it's a rooms-like. (like Grace pre-alpha & R&D) But once you start adding in boss encounters and sequences then it's a doors-like.
@YeetachuAnimate devs have shown they can actually create horror, recent example is the monument imo. they just wanna keep a general audience which is a decision I'm iffy abt, cuz it kinda hurts the potential of the game
