@Belle0802991251@hatless_rory Scottie’s earnings come from ballooned purses almost double Rory’s. 2019 players Rory won 2.25m. 2023 Scottie, 4.5m.
Scottie is 4m behind Tiger right now. If Scottie wins one playoff event he surpasses Tiger in money. Is he better than Tiger? Money doesn’t mean anything anymore
@AndyTFE@TrevorImmelman For the TIO piece, should we change the rule so hospitality and build out isn’t temporary? It’s there for all practice rounds and 4 rounds of play. So it’s perm for the tournament. Treat it like if you hit towards a small maintenance shed that’s on course or bathroom.
@GabbyHerzig I think we need to rethink what TIO is. Maybe if it’s there for all the practice rounds and all 4 rounds of the tournament, it’s no longer temporary. That’s a permanent structure because it exists for the entirety of the tournament. Like a maintenance shed, just tough luck.
@fried_egg_golf Wonder what distance the club needs to be thrown to get more than a warning? 50 yards? 25? Does it matter how many hands you use to throw it? One hand here vs. two handed tomahawk over the head?
What a world.
With this NIL regime and the portal, if you get the right coach, ANYONE can win the national championship. Indiana, even.
No excuses for dozens of teams that have made them for decades. You don’t have to be a blue blood. And blue bloods hate it.
@Jackson_JamesT@shanebacon With the PGT gobbling up every other tour in some way and gaining all these “partnerships” like with the Euro tour I guess everyone would have some kind of Tour status. such a slippery slope I feel. I say just pay everyone, the amount of times it would matter with an am is slim
@Jackson_JamesT@shanebacon So would you have to have a tour card to get paid? What if a pro who gets a sponsors exemption but has no status gets a T10. Is that much different than if an AM does in a PGT event? I don’t know the answer to all this, I just feel pay all or ONLY members.
@NoLayingUp@chambleebrandel The fact that the data to show the ball and clubs are allowing insane speed generation is right there and Brandel continues to miss it is just laughable.
@CJ_Stevenson I don’t disagree with deeper fields, but exemptions are still an issue, players using ones from 2019 and 2020. The Cauley story is great, but would love to see this happening for a guy from the KF who has a possible 20 years of runway. The tour doesn’t allow for that often sadly.
@shanebacon@fried_egg_golf I remember watching Scott Stallings (not the Georgia realtor) hit a full 4 iron lay up from light rough in 2019 at the pro-am. Rory is a different breed than the Stallworth
