@peakmann1e I mean, Amon totally solos Kyoshi, and so does Asami (Kyoshi wouldn’t know about the shock glove). Book Two Korra would win because she has access to Kyoshi’s own memories, and Book Four Korra can bend metal and is one of the most spiritually gifted Avatars.
@Eleven__11XI Trust me, you’re not alone; I want to see all the highs and lows of Korra and Asami’s relationship, and I would be *thrilled* if the original cast was brought back in full.
@ThomasC29008175@Art2Panic@Maxwell637159 When did I dismiss the effects of a genocide? When did I say it wasn’t harmful?
Since when was the Air Nation dehumanised? Weren’t they simply wiped off the planet in one go?
Do you truly believe that being violated and emptied is better than a tragedy you aren’t present for?
If Asami dies before Korra, then Korra will have the following two crash outs:
1. “I will rain hell on you for the rest of time.” https://t.co/zYRALgt4NC
2. “Why isn’t it anybody else’s turn” and “whatever I do, you still won’t be there.” https://t.co/9CRwq7TLki
@ThomasC29008175@Art2Panic@Maxwell637159 And what makes you think that people feel what they’re supposed to? What makes you think the scale of an event is directly proportional to the scale of its impact when that’s often *not* the case? Finally, why do you continue to claim that I’m dismissing the evils of genocide?
@ThomasC29008175@Art2Panic@Maxwell637159 I can’t tell if you’re misinterpreting me on purpose or not. You do understand that I’ve been talking about the subjective experience this entire time, right? Objectively, a genocide is awful, but subjectively it’s a lot harder to care about because it’s so difficult to process.
@ThomasC29008175@Art2Panic@Maxwell637159 Not to mention the fact that being in Korra’s situation *also* means being kicked in the teeth time and time again and ground down until you can’t see what’s left to pick up out of the dirt nor why you or anyone else should or would even *bother* with it.
@bmculsuz@korranator She did her duties to the best of her abilities; if you want a failure, look no further than the guy who apparently refused to do his job *at all* and resulted in the Hundred Year War.
@korraespa I will never stop being pissed at the implication that Korra and Asami didn’t get to live together until they both die at a ripe old age. It hurts more because my granddad died about twenty years before Nan, and I can see the survivor being as depressed as Nan was until death.
@ThomasC29008175@Art2Panic@Maxwell637159 Personally, I’m not sure I’d be patriotic enough to care about the fact that my death would mean the extinction of something, I’d just be concerned about staying alive because I *really* want to not die. Preserving the culture would probably end up as more of a hobby, if anything
@ThomasC29008175@Art2Panic@Maxwell637159 Yeah, I’d be heartbroken, but I wouldn’t have lost my identity, self-worth, or sense of self, and will thus find it easier to move on from it. We lose things and people all the time, but losing ourselves is rare.
Bro, get your story straight. Did Aang have himself or did he not?
