I had every intention of going to bed early tonight because I've been fucking tired but then my body decided to curse me with a bout of insomnia, so I think it's time to start a new playthrough of RDR1.
Generally I hated this song when it came out because people kept calling it a country song and it was on the country charts for a while, but this version... this is a bop I approve of. (John & Arthur AI cover of Old Town road)

Looks like I listened to Shane Smith and the Saints far too much again this year. Second year in a row I've been like the top .1% of their fans on Spotify Wrapped.
Can't help it though. Literally every single one of their songs is an absolute banger.
I don't care if they're tacky af. I love visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards while I'm visiting my husband's family. Any day I get to see a rodeo and real cows is a good one, now that I'm not a rancher anymore.
All this deer hunting I've been doing lately has made me realize that Rockstar really fucked up by making it where Squirrels couldn't climb trees. I almost never see a squirrel on the ground when I'm hunting, and yet in RDR2 their AI has them run around on the ground like rabbits
There will be no new chapters of anything this week because I am sick and I want to make sure I get the next chapter of Cowboys and Angels right, seeing as it's my version of Blood Feuds Ancient and Modern, which happens to be one of my favorite missions in the whole game.
Hearing Arthur talk about how he hates the area near Rhodes because he misses the West always hits like a gut punch to me, especially today. I live on the east coast now, but I'm REALLY missing Texas today. I just want to go back out west, exactly like Arthur, but I can't.
By far the best part of working for the American public school system is when the district says you still have to go in to work today even though there is a literal hurricane outside.
I thoroughly enjoyed this article. Black cowboys are SUCH an important part of the history of the West and people overlook it too easily imo.
How this rodeo keeps a forgotten part of Black history alive

It's not every day you visit a bar with old saloon doors. For context, this is at Gruene Hall which was built in 1878. It's the oldest dance hall in Texas.
