This pump station was reported to @TaylorWimpey about a month ago. I guess it’s not urgent enough to rectify. However, when the children on the playground next to it decide it would be good to play with the buttons, I wonder what would happen to our water supply???
@GMB re inset days. 1. Teachers also suffer from pricey holidays as theirs are based on term time, it’s not just parents. 2. The travel industry will be quick to understand this scheme and will simply adjust prices so this will be another week with increased prices.
@GMB The issue will not be eased by portion control alone. As a society, we need to cut back on pre-processed food and bring back real food. There is a lot of research to suggest that the obesity crisis is primarily down to what we’re eating rather than how much!
@sainsburys’ Christmas advert appears to say everyone is welcome - except they’re not! That hungry giant is kicked out of town and then the residents say there’s always room for more - than except that other giant eh??
@YodelOnline I went to collect my parcel from the drop off location and the machine recognised my code but my parcel wasn’t there. The phones and live chat aren’t working. What do I do now?
@comicrelief bring back the comedy. Where are the skits? Where are the serious people doing stupid things? It’s just celebs talking on stage asking people to donate. Look back at the successful 40 years and see how it’s changed. Come on!
@Frencheconomics@thetimes This is an interesting read. However, dynamic pricing in the travel industry is clearly one of the reasons parents take their children out of school. Teachers are consistently prevented from taking cheaper holidays as dynamic pricing takes effect. This needs further investigation
@hendopolis@HarryYorke1 As with all of these discussions, the blame is attributed to the parents and none is given to the tourist industry. Teachers and families are stung every time with the highest cost holidays as they have limited time to take them. Investigate the travel industry!
