This meeting is a textbook example of Stockholm syndrome. Embracing a state that supports Russia while refusing to recognize Kosovo, a country that has firmly stood with Ukraine against Russian aggression. Shameful. @Heroiam_Slava@Ukraine@ZelenskyyUa

Warren Buffett on economists and stock market predictions:
“They don’t make a lot of money buying and selling stocks — but people who buy and sell stocks listen to them.”
___
The lesson is one Buffett has reinforced throughout his entire career. He and Munger never spent much time on macro. Interest rates, GDP forecasts, credit cycles — largely irrelevant to the actual work of investing.
At the end of the day, all that matters is what a business is worth — and what it’s trading for today. Everything else is noise dressed up as “insight.”
Even Keynes — one of the greatest economic minds in history — tried predicting macro variables to pick stocks. He went broke a couple of times doing it and only found success when he abandoned that approach entirely and settled on buying good businesses cheap, in concentrated positions, that he truly understood.

🧩 New Research Ideas! Momentum stocks don't just win or lose, they polarize.
Han and Qin examine momentum returns across 45 countries and document something that matters for practitioners: momentum portfolios have bimodal return distributions, with past winners either soaring or crashing, rarely landing in between.
Key findings:
- Bimodality is widespread and persistent, negatively correlated with momentum profits
- Standard momentum performs worse precisely where bimodality is highest
- A Deep Momentum strategy outperforms both traditional momentum and naive ML approaches in high-bimodality countries
- A global model trained across all countries beats country-specific models, especially where individual samples are small
This gives the momentum crash literature a clearer statistical explanation. The distribution shape tells you more than the mean.
I've seen this pattern in our factor data: drawdowns in momentum are never symmetric to the gains. This paper helps explain why and where to look for improvement.

This is why $AMZN is my biggest position.
Invests $25 billion in Anthropic to get it to commit to $100 billion in AWS spending over the next decade, while the investment itself will likely double as well.
$AMZN execution has been elite since early 2025. More to come.
Long $AMZN.
