On this day in 1987, 42 innocent Muslims were picked up by Indian paramilitary forces in Hashimpura. They were taken to the outskirts where they were shot to death one by one. Their bodies were thrown in the canal.

In 2015, all 16 accused in #HashimpuraMassacre were acquitted.
