@MONEYFIELDSFC First time I've been to Moneyfields since the ground was redeveloped. It is now an excellent facility, although I missed the earthyness of the old ground and grass pitch. Moneys pulled it back to 1 - 2 early in the second half but couldn't sustain their push for an equaliser.
@BashleyFootball A very entertaining New Forest derby, played at times in difficult conditions, where age, experience and nous overcame youth and enthusiasm @Brock_FC. We liked the clubhouse...but £3 for a (small) cup of tea was a bit steep!
@DowntonFC I expected a much closer game. Despite their neat passing football, Brock just didn't pose enough of a goal threat. Downton comfortably took their chances as they arrived and you can't begrudge them an impressive victory. The pitch stood up remarkably well despite the rain.
@wincityfc A deserved win for Frome, albeit having been gifted two goals by goalkeeper errors. Frome's No. 10 was excellent throughout. Winchester City just couldn't get going against a very fit, hardworking, and capable Frome side.
@FarnboroughFC To the National League South Hampshire derby and a very enjoyable game too with some great goals despite a sticky pitch. Sandah's goal was a belter and he was my man of the match. AFC Totton seem to have lost their way of late and looked tired. A good win for 'Boro.
@HambleFC@Lavvyfc Good win for Hamble. Three headed goals from three corners. The Lavvy defence coach has work to do! Otherwise Lavvy struggled to deal with the physicality of Hamble, whose two centre backs, both called Johnson (twins?), were rock solid.
@WimborneTownFC To Dorset for the first ever meeting between Wimborne and Chatham (not really a big surprise!). Wimborne will be bemused they lost, missing two good chances in the first half and (badly) missing a penalty in the second. That motivated Chatham who scored the winner in the 99th min
@AFCTotton@solentsport@dailyechosport@Lymingtontimes@swsportsnews A game where most of the excitement happened in the last 15 minutes. AFC Totton will feel they should have won but Johnson-Fisher missed a couple of sitters for Truro. I was pleased with an honourable draw, having a son who played for both teams, so I can retain my neutrality.
@Whitchurchutd To this top of the table clash and an enjoyable and entertaining game between two closely matched teams. A strong wind, sloping pitch, and decent crowd added to the fun. It was appropriate that a belter of a goal from Argent sealed the win for Whitchurch United.
@GosportBFC A comfortable win for Poole who were well organised, balanced, and took their chances. Gosport just couldn't build enough momentum and missed the few chances they created. Its a shame to see another grass pitch lost to 3G. Will non-league be largely played on false grass by 2030?
@wincityfc My first visit to Winchester since the 3G was installed. Very pleased to see the improvements to the ground. Fareham's keeper kept them in the game in the first half after some sloppy defending. Much better second half from Fareham. Big No. 5 for Fareham had a solid game.
@alresford_town@Romseytownfc1@WessexLeague A deserved win for Romsey for whom Prisk was excellent and Masuku had inexhaustible energy in midfield. Maybe it was just a bad day at the office for Alresford. Not easy for either team on a hard, dry pitch but still an enjoyable watch.
@farehamtownfc You can't argue with the result. Fareham deserved the win. Was it a game too far for a physically and emotionally drained Andover New Street? Well done Fareham. El Creekio lives on?
@afc_stoneham Lightning does strike twice! Like the Vase game between these two, Andover hung in there, got the equaliser their second half performance deserved, and then won the penalty shoot out. I feel sorry for Stoneham who finished 19 points ahead in the league but football can be cruel.
@alresford_town A deserved win for New Milton. The winning goal won't win 'goal of the season' but it may prove more important than that to New Milton. But the Alresford goal was a corker. Is there a Wessex ground with a finer view from the clubhouse?
@Brock_FC@bandlfc@WessexLeague Always a pleasure to visit Grigg Lane and a deserved victory for the Badgers. After B and L's penalty, it looked like it might be a tight finish but it wasn't to be. Great third goal from Torniainen.
@HungerfordTown Not a game that was easy on the eye. It got bad tempered too for no apparent reason and despite a flurry of yellow cards. The missed penalty for Hungerford was a big moment in the game. The Hungerford staff and supporters were very friendly but £2.50 for a cuppa was a bit steep!
@Romseytownfc1 My first visit to a Step 6 game this season...and who doesn't like a late, late equaliser...apart from Fawley, who will feel aggrieved about the 10+ minutes of added time. James Clifton was excellent for Fawley. An enjoyable game at a friendly club on a lovely afternoon.
@BBCMOTD Tommy Tonks of Tamworth. If you need to score in the last 10 minutes, that long throw would freak out the opposition. They won't have seen anything like it.
