We’re excited to welcome Mirabel Bausinger, Managing Director of Imani Development, South Africa, to the B Lab Africa Summit 2025.

With over 20 years’ experience advancing trade facilitation, regional integration and private-sector development across East and Southern Africa, Mirabel leads major initiatives such as the €26M ENTERPRISE Zambia Challenge Fund, promoting smallholder participation in sustainable value chains. She holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.

At the Summit, Mirabel will share how inclusive growth and sustainable value chains can transform Africa’s development landscape under this year’s theme, “Climate Action, ESG Investments and Inclusive Growth in Africa.”

Malawi is piloting CBM at Mwanza Border where cross-border regulatory agencies have been reduced from 13 to 16 in a bid to increase efficiency and effectiveness. This will result in reduced delays, quicker release, better predictability, higher border security, and lower costs.
