What the actual!!! Mass fish die off on the Hogsmill right now, pictures by Carole McCluskey. Council will be on site shortly. So very sad. 🤬 We really don't deserve this planet do we?
'Staying the course on clean energy would not only save households three times as much money but render the UK truly energy secure for generations to come.'
Maximising North Sea production would reduce bills by just £16 to £82 per year, say researchers from the Oxford Smith School ⬇️

You'll want to be sitting down for this bit.
Water companies are currently £82.7 billion in debt, have paid themselves £85 billion in dividends, leak over a trillion of litres of water per year, dump sewage for almost 4 million hours per year, have been convicted of over 1,200 criminal acts since 1989 and an average of 35% of your bill goes on nothing but paying more interest and yet more dividends.
And not a single company has ever lost their operating licence. 👇
Blimey, Farage's aide George Cottrell is bringing out book called How To Launder Money, published by Biteback, owned by Lord Ashcroft, who is also publishing book about Farage. In 2017 Cottrell was convicted in US of wire fraud, after money-laundering charges were dropped.
#leaseholdreform
Government announces cap of £250 on ground rents.
Also publishes draft Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill.
Both sound death knell for leasehold in England and Wales.
Draft Bill says this £250 limit will only apply for a transitional period of 40 years, after which it will fall to a peppercorn (Schedule 13).
Draft Bill also contains provisions to abolish forfeiture and to prevent leases being granted over freehold houses for non-payment of estate rentcharges.
A lot to work through, but Bill seems to follow Law Commission recommendations, including banning creation of new leasehold flats.
Draft bill and supporting papers here: https://t.co/xiWCFv3x7K.
Also worth noting one RFA member (Long Harbour) is taking a case to the Supreme Court to get out of paying for any building remediation regardless of what happens to ground rents.
The only professions these organisations have are grifting and whining.
How ungrateful can you be? The Tories spent several 100s of 1000s of pounds getting Robert Jenrick elected at the 2014 by-election - way over the legal limit, & the Tories later had to pay a hefty fine. Who complained about the Tories' gross over-spending - Nigel Farage.
lol. So she's replacing Jenrick as shadow Justice Secretary with the utter clown, Nick Timothy -
Possibly the only option available who I'd argue has displayed MORE out-&-out racism then Jenrick has 😅😭
Bunch of inadequates, honestly, the lot of them.
@camcitco Hi there, any chance that Ravensworth Gardens play area could be tidied up? There's so much broken glass and rubbish, it's really not very nice for kids to play here now. Many thanks, Edward.
I’ve no doubt this multi-millionaire, living in Thailand, donated out of deep concern for
Britain’s working-class.
Nothing says “anti-establishment” like record-breaking cheques from the ultra-rich.
I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.
Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Southern Water haven't just polluted English beaches, their toxic beads have made it across the Channel to Northern France, I am told. This from a beach at Wissant
