Today some students in Gr. 8, under the direction of Anne from the Peterborough Master Gardeners and the Peterborough Horticultural Society, as well as the outgoing Principal Andy Sawada, finally planted the garden as part of a months long Deep Learning Project 1/3

to beautify the West garden. These students today learned a lot, including how to plant, symmetry when planting, following a plan, readjusting their vision, making changes and adaptions on the fly while Anne answered a lot of their questions. 2/3

We feel that the valedictorian needs to be a well rounded & upstanding individual and we could think of no better role model for our students than this outstanding man who continues to connect home, school and parish. #WeAreICS

Last night at the 2024 @ImmaculateCES graduation, we were finally able to unveil our new Valedictorian award, named after an outstanding community leader, volunteer, faith filled man, supporter and graduate of Immaculate Conception. 1/3
