At the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, Nandi County, with the Head of Public Service @koske_felix, Governor @Araap_Sang and other leaders, we witnessed the installation of the new Nandi Kaburwo Council of Elders led by Chairman Mzee Augustine Kisorio.

Congratulations, Mzee Kisorio, on your installation and may your tenure be marked by wisdom, integrity, and selfless service. I wish you and your Council success as you assume this crucial responsibility.

Kenya and the Republic of South Sudan enjoy close diplomatic ties rooted in trade, history, culture and people-to-people relations.

This afternoon, I held a meeting with the South Sudanese Minister of Interior, Hon. Aleu Ayieny Aleu, who paid me a courtesy call.

Our meeting focused on deepening our collaboration on border security and immigration management.

The establishment of the Nairobi Metropolitan Police Unit (NMPU) is now at the homestretch.

This afternoon, I led a team comprising officials from the Ministry of Interior and National Administration and the Nairobi City County Government to State House, Nairobi, where we briefed H.E. President William Ruto on the NMPU's strategic establishment and implementation plan.

H. E the President offered his guidance on how to make the proposed unit more efficient and proactive in meeting the security and safety needs of our metropolis.

I was accompanied by Governor Johnson Sakaja, PS Dr. Raymond Omollo, Inspector General Douglas Kanja, Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat (KPS), Deputy Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli (APS), Director of Criminal Investigations Mohammed Amin, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and National Administration.

This evening, I hosted leaders from Elgeyo-Marakwet, Uasin Gishu and Nandi counties to discuss the upcoming Mashujaa Day celebrations to be co-hosted by the three counties in Eldoret City.

Considering the symbolism of the occasion, I urged the leaders to involve all the stakeholders in preparation of the national event.

The National Police Service will not tolerate violence, hooliganism, or any disruption of public peace. We remain steadfast in our duty to maintain law and order. Let it be clear: those who choose chaos will be met with the full force of the law.

We reaffirm our commitment to serving and protecting all Kenyans, residents, and visitors. Our officers continue to work tirelessly to safeguard lives, property, and businesses across the country.

Held a consultative meeting with local leaders and security stakeholders at Lolmolok in Suguta, Samburu County, where I announced a raft of measures to weed out the remaining pockets of banditry in the region.

I called upon those who have not surrendered their arms in the county and neighbouring Baringo and Isiolo to do so voluntarily before we go for them.

We will also vet the National Police Reservists in the area and increase their number even as we build roads, security installations and mobile network coverage.

I was accompanied by the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, DIG (APS) Gilbert Masengeli, GSU Commandant Johana Tonui and other senior Government officials.

Listening to Gachagua today has confirmed our worst fears that he is on a mission to create an atmosphere of fear and siege in the Mt. Kenya region with the sole aim of extorting money from leading businesspeople.

The businesses of those who refuse to yield to his intimidation and blackmail are targeted for looting and destruction by his gangs and goons.

He is the biggest threat to national unity and the economy of our country. His utterances and criminal activities are closely being monitored by our security agencies and we shall do everything to ensure that the people and their properties are protected.

Received a comprehensive brief on the implementation of our universal health coverage programme. I commend the crucial role our telecommunications companies have played and will continue playing in registering citizens into the health financing programme managed by the Social Health Authority (SHA).

I am pleased to note that 32 million Kenyans are already registered with SHA and are accessing healthcare services paid for by Government.

To ensure no one is left behind, we agreed on the implementation of flexible payment methods, including initiatives such as Lipa SHA Pole Pole, in our effort to ensure that all Kenyans register with and make access to healthcare truly universal.

Additionally, we resolved that all telcos will be integrated in the SHA platform and put in place measures that afford citizens a marketplace for alternative funding to bring more Kenyans on board, and at the same make healthcare contributions seamless and affordable to all.
