I am considering shutting down my FB page. As the primary administrator, there seems to be a lack of interest, in comparison to all the work and time involved in reading and posting relevant news, etc. The other pages have much larger followings and far more interest.
My essay w some thoughts on the 9/11 anniversary. I was a new lawyer in NYC trying to help people arrested in the Ashcroft raids. 20 yrs later I'm in the Supreme Court trying just to get a day in court for people unlawfully surveilled by the FBI. 1/ https://t.co/OTOvroYoFc
In the 20 years since 9/11, the United States has spent $8,000,000,000,000+ on wars.
In the next 20 years, what if our resources go toward investing in people at home instead of waging endless wars abroad?
There have been times over the past 20 years that I've wanted to remember 9/11. And while I anyways honor the memory of those who were killed I have no stomach this year for idolatrous displays of performative patriotism. 1/

House dems said that pathway for DACAmented folks? It should only be available to the ones who have contributed/will contribute enough to GDP or warmaking (also a contribution to GDP).
It’s so pathetic I don’t know what to say. This is before many revisions will pare it back.
Wtf is this $5k “skip the line” fee? To extort Indians and Chinese for… being from large countries with lots of educated people. Why not eliminate country caps and raise overall numbers. Immigration is not a zero sum game.

Nearly 300k undocumented LGBTQ+ immigrants who live and work in the United States continue to experience discrimination in their daily lives. We are calling on @POTUS, @VP, @SpeakerPelosi, and @SenSchumer to establish a pathway to citizenship in the Build Back Better bill.
