@sarantics I mean I just think its sellout behavior im actively saying that I dont agree with his family and his own safety being threatened in any way shape or form but this specific action of promoting ai isnt something I specifically agree with
@sarantics It feels inauthentic to tell everybody to get it out of their systems. He's just a guy who can make mistakes but it feels weird to build a lot of your online persona satirizing typical hollywood-isms and openly being against AI then turning around and producing a show like this
@sarantics I fear that I agree with most of this. Kind of sell out behavior especially with some of other projects from this AI involved stuff. Plus Jorge was super hyper against AI previously. Def don't think he deserves death threats tho
@SothisInkling@Mar285671504@izbubbles I think the goal is for this to blow over but its just making him look worse. I get a lot of people in the industry are scared but this actively goes against every single thing he's advocated for in the past. It's really disappointing
Jorge R. Gutierrez says animating with AI was like “having sex and then they hand you the baby” during his appearance at the AI on the Lot convention.
He currently has a project named ‘Punky Duck’ through Amazon MGM’s GenAI Creators’ Fund, an initiative aimed at giving creators access to professional-grade AI tools and funding for cinematic entertainment.
