We intentionally use the words Earth and Moon throughout this paper because language shapes perception. Humans do not normally say they live on ‘Terra’ or refer to Earth as ‘the terrestrial sphere.’ They say they live on Earth. Likewise, people who one day live on the Moon will almost certainly say they live on the Moon, not ‘Luna.’ These distinctions may appear small, but they matter because governance, geography, identity, and civilization are all influenced by the language humans use to describe the environments they inhabit.
