“This shirt was my dream, my pride, and my life for years”.
“Thank you for loving me so much, thank you for support”.
“I will always carry you with me”.
Una go talk tire! 😂
But you won’t deny the fact that this man has blessed lives and raised men through his teachings
Workings are obviously everywhere and can’t be denied 😊
Bring the agenda come… the church will still triumph 🦅🔥
God bless Apostle. Arome Osayi
I was deeply disturbed by the recent insulting and disparaging remarks directed at Apostle Arome Osayi.
Let me be clear: Apostle Arome deserves better.
Disagreement with his position on matters of faith or society is legitimate. Challenge what he said. Examine his reasoning. Bring your evidence. Make your argument.
But critique addresses the position.
Insult attacks the person.
Critique says, “This is where I believe you are wrong.”
Insult abandons the substance altogether and reaches for personal abuse, ridicule and matters that have absolutely nothing to do with the argument.
No. We must never normalise that.
Apostle Arome Osayi has spent years labouring in the Gospel, teaching Scripture, raising people and serving the body of Christ. Such a man should not suddenly become material for digital ridicule because something he said provoked disagreement.
“Honor all people.” 1 Peter 2:17.
And this is bigger than Apostle Arome.
Something is fundamentally wrong when men and women who have given their lives to serving God can be casually insulted, mocked and subjected to degrading commentary for digital entertainment, while we call it boldness.
It is not boldness.
It is not superior reasoning.
And it certainly is not critique.
And let it also be said: there are consequences to speaking in this manner against ministers of God. The digital space does not erase such realities. A screen does not suspend the principles of honour and responsibility that govern our words.
The offending personal remarks should be retracted immediately and an unequivocal apology offered to Apostle Arome.
This is one of those moments where the right thing should not be complicated: withdraw the personal remarks, acknowledge that the manner of engagement crossed the line, and apologise plainly and publicly.
No qualifications.
No doubling down.
No attempt to turn the apology into another argument.
No long debate is required.
No further spectacle is necessary.
Correct what was said and move on.
You do not strengthen an argument by abandoning the argument and attacking the person.
And no matter how modern, digital or outspoken our generation becomes, honour has not expired.
Apostle Arome deserves better.
So do all who genuinely labour in the Gospel.
Old Trafford is filled up and there's a massive crowd outside.
That's 64k+ people and the crowd outside can fill a mini-stadium!!!!
Omoh, I thought you people said, once you travel outside Nigeria, no more prayers 😳😳😳😳
🚨 BREAKING: Andy Burnham will announce a new "Help to Buy" scheme next week
Called "Your First Home", it will allow young people to buy their first home with a deposit of just 2.5%
This is absolute.
The measure of comprehension and wisdom that comes from true education is in how their literates apply themselves later in life.
Take a sample of Canadians/Brits vs Nigerians in the early 20s and compare the result of their overall education. Shocking results!
This tweet accidentally explains one of the deepest problems with Nigerian education.
We have confused early literacy with early intelligence.
A 5 year old kid reading and writing before everyone isn’t impressive. Childhood development is not a race to finish the ABC. Those early years should be about building curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, communication and independent thinking.
Let them build things. Draw nonsense. Play games. Solve puzzles. Ask annoying questions. Learn to disagree and explain why.
Then reading, writing and maths become tools for a mind that has already started learning how to THINK.
And Twitter is probably the funniest evidence of what happens when we get this backwards 😂
Every day you meet people here who can read and write beautifully. Big grammar sef.
But comprehension? Omo.
You write A. They read B. They argue passionately against C. Then 4,000 people retweet aggressively 😭
That is the tragedy.
Literacy is not the same thing as education. Being able to read is useless if you were never taught how to think.
