The Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) organised a Stakeholders' meeting with the Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Coordinating Economy, Dr. Chuck Chukwuemeka, Local Government Chairmen

FRSC IMO COMMAND VISITS IIRS TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION IN IMO STATE
The Imo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) paid a courtesy visit to the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) on Monday 29th June 2026.
In response, Commander Okoro said that new technology-driven systems have been deployed to streamline licence processing, and pledged to address all concerns.
Justice Okoye thanked the FRSC team and reiterated IIRS’ commitment to supporting taxpayer-friendly facilities.
In response, Commander Okoro said the request for additional centres would be reviewed, noting that FRSC had provided the required technical specifications. She added that new technology-driven systems have been deployed to streamline licence processing.
The Chairman commended the Head of the Drivers’ Licence Centre, CRC G.O. Amaechi, and raised concerns over inadequate licence capturing centres and delays in number plate supply. He urged the FRSC to expand capturing centres and ensure timely availability of plates to meet demand
