🇨🇦 Tomorrow marks another anniversary of D-Day, and Canada's role in those events deserves far more than a brief mention.
On June 6, 1944, approximately 14,000 Canadian soldiers landed on Juno Beach, overcoming fear, intense enemy fire, and extraordinary pressure to help open the path to the liberation of Europe.
Many of them were barely older than teenagers. Many never made it home.
Their courage, selflessness, and sacrifice became part of the great victory over Nazism and helped lay the foundations of the freedom that millions of people enjoy today.
We remember their bravery. We honor their memory. 🇨🇦🌺

On this International Day for Women in Maritime, we celebrate the women inspiring the next generations.
Last month, French Navy vessel FS Jean Tranape joined CCGS Cape Roger for a passing exercise (PASSEX) just outside Halifax Harbour to practice and improve communication at sea.
After the exercise, the crews exchanged their “au revoir” and continued with their operations.
We recently joined the @RoyalCanNavy for an ORCA class sail in Victoria #BritishColumbia, gaining hands on insight into their daily operations.
Opportunities like this strengthen collaboration and deepen our shared understanding of Canada’s maritime mission.
