Forensic teams from India, China, Japan, Singapore and the Republic of Korea have joined Nepal Police to accelerate DNA collection, analysis and identification.

Recovered bodies have been temporarily buried following forensic procedures, specifically so identification can continue and remains can later be returned to families for final rites.
