When I see this kind of insanity, I marvel how China ignores so completely the wisdom of Sun Tzu when choosing their ally.
The Russians are incapable of knowing themselves, and seemingly their state's identified enemies as well.
Russians were asked how come older people in Europe travel the world and Russians cannot afford it.
Opinions differed:
- some said that's all a lie, Europe is starving and will soon beg Russia for help;
- some think Russians simply have no need for such silly activities.
@MikeOkuda Because they are the only ones paying to advertise anymore. Didn't you hear about the advertising boycott that is going to kill the platform? Musk emphatically stated EVERYONE in the WORLD would know it was the boycotters that would be responsible for the death of the company.
@Tendar That's because we have been working at being the very best at ONE thing for 70 years. Apparently though, being "The Arsenal of Democracy" no longer seems to have the appeal it once did.
I recently was watching an episode of #AvatarTheLastAirbender where he guest starred <3. What do you think are the future ramifications of performances that last forever? Used to be a new group of players could take up a script and no one batted an eye; now we CG artists.
@GazpachoTT I lived in the UK for almost 10 years. I went to many a bonfire night. It's what gave me my appreciation for burning folks in effigy (we really don't do it enough these days).
@GazpachoTT UK authorities found guys in London with plans to the base I went to school on and bomb makings. The base security forces parked Humvees by the main gates with .50 caliber machine guns mounted on them. My friends and I war gamed an attack on the base/school as a just in case.
@GazpachoTT The IRA also had/has an army/militia and everything. Are they not terrorist under your definition? Were the Catholic rebels of Ulster were both traitors and terrorist? Are they mutually exclusive?
The Sons of Liberty were certainly labeled both in 1775.
@GazpachoTT The holiday is celebrating their failure. He is burned in effigy every year to celebrate the Crown's supremacy. It is still sponsored by the state and local councils to celebrate the survival of the Crown and the defeat of the Catholics.
er go it is a statist holiday.
@GazpachoTT It's my very favorite statist holiday for sure. Celebrating the state's victory over a religious terrorist group. The closest thing we have to it in the states is: we get to take our shoes off when we fly.
If Fawkes had succeeded, do you think people would plant fields of flags?
