@PhilNobileJr But in terms of an alternate reality where horror cinematics weren't established yet, or an alternative form was formed. I am reminded of Justin Decloux and Nate Wilson's #ImpossibleHorror: where everything is almost this jump-cut creepy wuxia world that comments on itself. (3)

@PhilNobileJr I would highly recommend watching @ImpossbleHorror for sure. There is just something really barebones and elemental about it and how it comments on the genre, and makes fun itself but is also serious at the same time. It makes a world and it works. At least, for me.
