@nadooshjas Majority of Moroccans are arabs ethnically, the king is arab, the country is part of arab world. So i dont understand why you cope so much about this.
@PhantomllFox@Italian347 His father was not Phoenician but Libyan of Punic culture. His mother was not Italian either; she was a Romanized Libyan. The Romanelli hypothesis, which claimed that his mother was Italian, is now considered outdated by historians.
Often used to deny Septimius Severus any North African origin, we should be cautious with terms like โPunicโ or โRoman/Italianโ when defining his origins. The idea that he had Italian ancestry on his motherโs side is now considered outdated, and there is no evidence of a significant Italian community in his city. Ancient authors described him as โLibyan,โ and he showed a strong attachment to Africa, surrounding himself with Africans in Rome and notably integrating them into the Praetorian Guard for the first time. The label โPunicโ would only refer to his mother tongue; he probably did not speak an older form of Berber (Libyco-Berber) but rather a late Punic dialect influenced by Latin and Libyco-Berber, as reflected in epigraphy. Moreover, the inhabitants of his region, Tripolitania, were described as Libyphoenicians meaning Punicized natives. See below this post for more ๐
Have noted on several occasions that North Africans are perhaps the most "erased" ethnic group in popular media. The Anglosphere seems intent on stubbornly refusing to acknowledge their existence - Tunisians are real, folks! And Moroccans, and Algerians, you can go look at them!

@TMauretanian Itโs always like this, we never get respected. Only when it comes to drawing us as terrorists do they put in their best effort to portray us perfectly.
