JBI and E&B Paving started paving QC/QA-HMA Base last Saturday (09-18-21) and paved QC/QA-HMA Intermediate and HMA For Approaches for Phase 3 from Greywing Drive to Angel Drive along Bell Road.
JBI is continuing to install proposed storm sewer main along Bell Road for Phase 3, between Angle Drive and Greywing Drive. Please note the one way going north is still in effect from Greywing Drive to Terrace Drive.
The detour route for this closure will be the same as it has been all year, Oak Grove to 261 to Fuquay to Telephone.
Please note that during this closure there will be times when storm structures are crossing Bell Road & local traffic will need to travel away from the closure.
During this maintenance of traffic configuration, Local Traffic will need to exit to the North and enter from the South (one-way). School buses and emergency vehicles will follow this same pattern. Non-local traffic will be prohibited from entering the work area at all times.
Oak Street at Bell Road will be completely closed during this time frame and all local traffic will need to enter and exit via Clover Circle to Angel Drive.
Windsor Drive, Hanover Drive, Angel Drive West Approach, and Angel Drive East Approach. Greywing Drive at Bell Road will be completely closed during this time frame and all local traffic will need to enter and exit via Frontier Drive.
The construction will allow local traffic access only. Staggered barricades will be at both ends of the closure on Bell Road and all side streets coming into the closure including but not limited to;
Please note as of yesterday (08-06-21), Bell Road in Newburgh, will continue to be closed to "thru" traffic from just South of Greywing Drive to just South of Terrace Drive for full-width Road Construction (see attached plans).
CE Hughes will be milling existing pavement today along Phase 3, between Angle Drive and Telephone Road, for Bell Road. This is in preparation for cement stabilization for subgrade treatment.
@PSM_65 In regards to the sign, this will be placed once the detention pond is completed. For phases 1 and 2 all stop signs, warning signs and street signs have been installed.
@PSM_65 Patricia, good afternoon. Given the contractors schedule, the asphalt surface and permanent pavement markings will be completed last. The road is not complete and holds some water given there is a 1.5” lip where the asphalt surface will be placed.
Bell Road from Angel Drive to Telephone Road will be temporarily open to traffic over the holiday weekend. The closure will resume July 6 after the observed holiday on July 5.
@MarcellaScott If your referring to residents driveways, JBI has put temporary Drive approaches along phase 2. Also, while pouring concrete drives, only have of each Drive will be poured at a time to give each resident access at all times.
Bell Rd. was closed on 06-17-21 north of Terrace Dr. for the installation of Str. #14, a 10’x3’ box culvert. This closure will last 2 weeks & will be preceded with another 2 week closure, just south of Terrace Dr. along Bell Rd. for large elliptical storm sewer installation.
@jennife56289453 Technically it is not. Our hope is to put the temporary pavement marking down this Thursday and open Phase 2 up for north and south bound traffic. Then close the road for Phase 3’s larger box culvert installations.
