That wasn't her fault, of course. He just lived life in the fast lane— Not many people understood that.
"I don't have any money."
Bart confessed, shaking his head. Lunch sounded great, but that's why he came for her snacks. He couldn't afford any of his own.
"I mean, my day --
He wouldn't tell her, but it was taking a LOT of effort to focus on her. To him, she just spoke SOOOO slowly.
"You haven't had lunch?"
He'd ask, finishing off the chocolate bar. Shaking his head.
"Pretty boring. Played video games, kicked some bad guys butt— Everyday stuff."
Stephanie was slightly surprised that he was able to focus for so long on her. He always seemed to be in a rush.
"It was slower than usual, luckily. I'm always late to class, so I barely have time to eat anything.
What about you, though?"
She couldn't help but snort and shake her head in amusement as he quickly found the snacks.
"Well, I had the usual: coffee with waffles. My waffles are amazing. Maybe I'll let you try them sometime."
