— 1 suspect lynched to death, 2 arrested.

📍 Baruipur, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal

A 12 y/o girl was allegedly gang-raped and murdered, her body stuffed in a sack and dumped in a pond after she went missing while buying a birthday gift.

— Enraged locals lynched suspect Indrajit Tanti to death and clashed with police, alleging one accused had been released earlier.
— CM Suvendu Adhikari promised strict action and a SIT was formed to probe the case.

This is how The Telegraph reported the Gang rape and murder of a 12 year old Child in Baruipur, West Bengal.
Read the contents as if the rape and murder was nothing in comparison to the mob violence.
The level of censorship made almost all the TV channels and print media skip the heinous crime and focused mainly on the events following the discovery of the dead body.
Even till date, neither Suvendhu Adhikary nor his ministers have visited the victims family.
