#Magfirat 🙌
Today Srinagar feels more like the beginning of April rather than the middle of June. If this is what it’s like here, places like Gulmarg & Pahalgam must be positively chilly 🥶.
Thankful to people of Yaripora, Kulgam for turning out in huge numbers and making todays convention a grand success.
I am thankful to party leadership including Additional General Secretary and MP @ChowdryRamzan sb, Hon'ble Minister @sakinaitoo sahiba, Provincial President Showkat Mir sb for gracing the event and listening to concerns and issues of people of Kulgam.
I am hopeful that the leadership will, with positive intent, address the concerns raised by speakers. I also thank the unrelenting spirit of my brothers from Kulgam constituency for their non-stop dedication to the party and its programmes.

Advisor to the Chief Minister @nasirsogami addressed a gathering at the Global Kashmiri Pandit Conclave “From Exile to Excellence” held at SKICC Srinagar.
It is time to move beyond complaints and find a way forward. We want Kashmiri Pandits to return with dignity, and if AFSPA is lifted anywhere, J&K should be first: Advisor to CM @nasirsogami.
Heartbreaking to see these young children undergoing treatment after the tragic accident. I have directed the doctors and hospital authorities to ensure special care and the best possible medical attention for each of them. Praying for their speedy recovery and strength to their families.
On the request of MLA Zadibal (@tanvirsadiq) and representations received from the public, and keeping in view the sanctity of Muharram and the large number of processions and Majlis being observed across Kashmir from 23rd to 27th June, the Education Department has directed all Government and recognized Private Schools not to conduct any in-house, internal or term examinations during these dates.
This decision has been taken to ensure that students do not face difficulties due to traffic diversions and road closures and are able to participate in religious observances and academic activities without inconvenience.
All concerned institutions are directed to strictly comply with these instructions. Any deviation or non-compliance shall be viewed seriously and shall invite disciplinary action under the relevant rules and regulations.
Grateful to the Hon'ble Minister Health & Medical education @sakinaitoo sahiba for her visit alongside me to S.R. Gunj hospital and Gousia hospital Khanyar. I am pleased to announce the 50 bedded extension of Gousia hospital & completion of S.R. Gunj hospital in a month's time.
Chief Minister met Hon’ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation Shri @RamMNK and raised concerns regarding the proposed closure of Srinagar Airport from 1-16 October for maintenance works.
Emphasising the importance of uninterrupted air connectivity to the Valley during the peak tourism season, he urged that the maintenance schedule be reviewed and, if feasible, shortened, phased, or shifted to a leaner travel window. The Chief Minister also suggested operating a limited number of civilian flights from Awantipora Air Base during the closure period to ensure continued connectivity for residents, tourists and businesses.
Accompanied Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, School & Higher Education, and Social Welfare, Ms. Sakeena Masood Itoo Sahiba (@sakinaitoo ) during her visit to SDH Hazratbal. She directed the concerned authorities to immediately commence work on the extension of the 50-bedded hospital, for which approval was recently accorded by the Cabinet. This marks a historic milestone in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Hazratbal.
Also visited PHC Burzahama and interacted with local residents. The Hon’ble Minister directed the district administration to expedite all formalities related to the land required for the construction of the new PHC, ensuring that the project is taken up at the earliest for the benefit of the people. I am immensely grateful for her generous support to ensure timely intervention & commencement of these prestigious healthcare projects across #Hazratbal Assembly segment.

Following on from my meeting with Defence Minister @rajnathsingh Sb, I met with Civil Aviation minister @RamMNK to discuss the proposed closure of Srinagar airport in October. We are working on possible alternatives to minimise the disruption & maintain a basic flight schedule as was done in the past when the airport closed for similar reasons in 1998 & 2010.
A welcome and visionary decision for South Kashmir. The introduction of a halt for the Vande Bharat Express at Anantnag Railway Station, secured through the efforts of Hon’ble Chief Minister Jb Omar Abdullah and approved by the Hon’ble Railway Minister, will greatly benefit commuters, boost tourism, improve connectivity, and strengthen the local economy.
A brief halt for the Vande Bharat, but a giant leap for the aspirations of the people of South Kashmir. Heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Jb Omar Abdullah for this people-centric initiative.
@OmarAbdullah
J&K’s statehood is our rightful demand, not a new request. We have raised it repeatedly, passed a Cabinet resolution, and will continue peaceful democratic efforts until our constitutional rights are restored: Minister @sakinaito.
Visited Syedpora Hamchi today and interacted with local residents, who apprised me of the severe water supply and irrigation crisis being faced by the area. The issue is causing immense hardship to both households and farmers during this crucial season.
I immediately took up the matter with the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s @OmarAbdullah sahabs ( @CM_JnK ) which responded promptly and initiated necessary steps for immediate relief. I am hopeful that the affected residents will soon see a positive outcome.
The concerns raised by the locals are genuine and well-founded which highlights the acute shortage of irrigation water due to reduced discharge in the Sindh Extension Canal.
I will also be convening a detailed meeting with the concerned departments to work out a comprehensive and permanent solution to the water supply and irrigation issues of the area. The welfare of our people and protection of our farmers’ interests remains my top priority.
