[NEWS] #JIMIN donated 100 million won to students in North Jeolla Province, following donations in Busan, South Jeolla Province, and Gangwon Province.

Jimin has been quietly conveying his wishes through his father, continuing his "silent good deeds" targeting offices of education across the country for several years.

According to the North Jeolla Province Office of Education on the 25th, Jimin's father,called the acting superintendent's office in July to convey his son's wishes and express his intention to donate. The 100 million won was deposited into the Love Scholarship Foundation's account on the 18th.

At the request of the donor, the donation was made quietly without a separate ceremony or event, and the provincial office of education plans to use the donation to support the academics of low-income students in the region.

Starting with the Busan Office of Education in 2019, Jimin has previously donated 100 million won each to the offices of education in South Jeolla Province, Gangwon Province, North Chungcheong Province, and South Gyeongsang Province. These offices of education have used his donations for various educational support projects, including scholarships for low-income students, school development funds, and book donations.

Acting Superintendent of Education Yoo Jeong-gi said, "I am deeply grateful to BTS's Jimin for his warm sharing for the future of children," and added, "The donation will be used fairly and transparently to support students studying in difficult environments through the Love Scholarship Foundation."
