@BennieSonamzi This is so heartbreaking 💔😢 And yet, none of the elected leaders are doing anything about it. Vote for people who care about you, people. Please.
Thousands of Costco hourly workers reportedly have more than $1 million in their 401(k) accounts, and one longtime cashier built a seven-figure retirement account after nearly 40 years with the company 💰
@freakoutsideofx How lucky to live this long with, apparently, all faculties intact! Incidentally, only women can go on living after death of their spouse. Men often die soon after their wives die.
@skiistiredasf Thank you @Lupita_Nyongo for highlighting this health issue which affects countless women around the globe. Wishing you & all who endure this problem healing.❤️🩹 Stay beautiful & blessed. 💖🌷
Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o opened up about living with over 50 uterine fibroids with a total of 77 over her lifetime (25 surgically removed) and the largest the size of an orange.
@skiistiredasf@Lupita_Nyongo is a class act😍 Hubby & I met her at the Tribeca film festival where I
completely made fool of myself & didn’t care cause I’m such a big fan. 😂 She’s not only talented but sweet & humble. Patiently took photos w/fans, including me. Adore her❣️
@Reasonmaxxing@WesleyLowery Yup. He was a very intelligent, confident, classy, poised, well informed & educated thinker. No nonsense or emotional outbursts which you observe w/some people today. Truly, he was one of THE best.
@WesleyLowery His PBS show was great. Had the most interesting guests, some famous, others not. And he would think outside the box and wasn't a slave to conventional thinking -- of the left or right.
Total respect. Tony Brown, RIP
@ahr_ii@WesleyLowery He was that kind of man. Even though I was young and naive about many things when I met him years ago, I immediately felt that I was in the presence of a highly intelligent, respected & respectful man who genuinely loved & cared about his people. He’ll be sorely missed.
The family of Tony Brown, the trailblazing black journalist died last week at 93. His "Tony Brown's Journal" was the longest running series in the history of PBS. He was the founding dean of Howard's communication school and later inaugural dean Hampton's journalism school.
In the tradition of the black press, he rejected the activist/journalist distinction. Just one example: In 1963, he helped coordinate a 500,000 person march in Detroit where it is believed Martin Luther King first gave a version of the I Have A Dream speech.
@WesleyLowery@franklinleonard Met Tony Brown years ago when he interviewed my young son. He was a wonderful, kind & very intelligent man. He leaves a great legacy. A long, well lived life like his shouldn’t be mourned but celebrated. #riptonybrown 🕊️🩵 Rest in power, sir. ✊🏾🌹
@WanjiraL What great news! 👏🏾👏🏾 Not enough attention is paid to sickle cell research and the suffering its victims going through. No one can say that race doesn’t have anything to do with it. Yes, the disease affects black people. Never even heard of a white person with SC.
