🛠️ Gameplay Improvements

•🔫 Weapon Holstering Update Holstering now requires holding the D-pad down for 0.15 seconds on the currently equipped weapon or equipment. This maintains quick holstering while preventing accidental holsters from brief taps during intense moments.

•⏲️ Status Timers Added Timers now display on the armband for Poison and Tourniquet states, showing remaining time until death unless treated with the correct item.

•🔦 Blacklight Enhancements The blacklight can now be thrown away if no longer needed. One spare blacklight has been placed in each level for players who dispose of their current one.

🎮 Visual & UI Improvements

•📏 Slightly increased font size for in-game found notes for better readability.

•💇 Scalp hair darkened and optimized across all hairstyles for a more natural and grounded appearance.

•🌡️ VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) now supported on compatible displays.

🐛 Bug Fixes

◦Occasionally showing in the Pause menu

🎬 Fixed Communication 1st cutscene continuing to play when paused; also fixed Nathan’s floating tablet in the background.

🔔 Fixed "Tap X" prompts becoming stuck on screen when downed by a raptor at the exact moment a cutscene begins.

📳 Fixed issue where disabling vibration in the menu would occasionally fail to turn off haptics.

⚡ Performance Optimizations

@TeamKillMedia I would still like an archive for the collected texts, so that everything can be nicely summarized and reviewed again bit by bit; of course, it would also be a premium feature if the texts were synchronized in other languages.

Today we will be working on another patch to refine a few things in Code Violet.

One thing we are going to adjust is holstering and equipping weapons or items.

We had requests with our last patch to take out the ability to holster the current weapon as it was resulting in accidentally holstering the weapon when in a frantic fight. But on flip side a lot of you also love being able to holster your weapon.

So the compromise we are going to put into the next patch (suggested by an awesome fan) is to make to where you must hold down the d-pad button for a tiny amount on your current weapon to holster it, that way holstering can still be done but it also won’t be able to be accidentally tapped during a fight.

My review is based on launch release and 1 patch update before it got the 2nd patch a day ago after finishing the game, i did not receive review copy.

Code Violet gives you that Resident Evil vibe, horror survival managing and expending your gear bag, and am all in for that. There was a moment in the game where i enter this kitchen and i was like oh, this reminds me of Jurassic Park 😁

During my playthrough I did encounter some bugs but none game breaking ones. Mostly flicking during cut scene, and this one certain area where I had to restart my save file, due to the sky box was black, i could not align the satellites lol.

Since this game was a exclusive for the PS5 (may come to other platforms) I wish they worked more on the DualSense controller, but then again they are a team of four.

What hurts this game is the price tag. We in a era were games are expensive and other things as well. So you need to sell us why your game is worth that price tag. If you are unsure about the game or price is too high, i recommend getting it on sale.

The game is developed by four brothers and all i can say is job well done guys, I hope the constructive criticism feedback by players help you guys grow and make greater games in the future. Despite all the hate and low score reviews I overall enjoyed the game.

The music in the game is 🔥 am a sucker for those type of music 🤘😎🤘
