Who exactly are these news organizations serving? Because it definitely isn't the public. The public deserves to hear all sides of an issue so that they can make informed choices for themselves and their families.
ABC reveals they censored “extensive portions” of their interview with RFK Jr due to “false claims about the COVID-19 vaccines.”
Funny how these mainstream outlets make a point to highlight the anti-vaccine views of anyone who speaks up about lockdowns.
@IbrahimMal74532@ShamusChang@Liz_Wheeler Assuming that the person you're talking about was convicted of murder, I would say that his sentence was far too light, not that Karmelo Anthony's was excessive.
@ShamusChang@Liz_Wheeler I've heard that he could be paroled once half his time has been served, meaning that he could be released from prison at the age of 36. Plenty of time for him to build a post-incarceration life. It's hard to imagine a better deal for someone convicted of murder.
@ThatGamerDuder@FrostedYukio@DoesItPlay1@StopKilingGames I don't own any Switch cloud games, so I don't know the terms. But if you buy a game, then (in a sane world) the implication of ownership should override any contrary terms. A judge can reject terms on the grounds that they're unconscionable, and that's what needs to happen here.
@ThatGamerDuder@FrostedYukio@DoesItPlay1@StopKilingGames That logic works for Microsoft's Xbox cloud gaming service since it's clear that you're just paying a monthly fee to access the cloud and the games on it.
But for Switch cloud games, the clear implication is ownership; and ownership would naturally mean access in perpetuity.
@ThatGamerDuder@FrostedYukio@DoesItPlay1@StopKilingGames People chose to make in-game purchases (which is like buying accessories) knowing full well that they didn't own the game that those were good for. That would be like me buying a steering wheel cover for a car I don't own. It's a totally different issue from buying a full game.
@MethlyNinja94@aka_yuuki_@FrostedYukio@DoesItPlay1@StopKilingGames Yes, they offer free upgrades to next-gen ports, but they don't revoke your access to the original version you purchased. If you were, say, a PS4 owner and didn't want to upgrade to a PS5, you could still play the PS4 version of your game.
@aka_yuuki_@FrostedYukio@DoesItPlay1@StopKilingGames While that may seem like the right way to handle it on the surface, it assumes that they all own or plan to purchase a Switch 2. No, I'm afraid the only way for Square Enix to truly make this right is to issue a full refund for every purchase.
@FrostedYukio@DoesItPlay1@StopKilingGames If there's no preserving them, then that's on Square Enix for selling them. They should issue a full refund to every person who purchased them. Anything less amounts to theft.
@RinoTheBouncer Looks like they're in tune with the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition:
Rule 34: War is good for business.
Rule 35: Peace is good for business.
@nib95_@NinjaTheory What does tactical combat mean? Kicking over a fire? Shoving a guy who's standing there doing nothing? I saw the same thing you saw: 1 on 1 combat with enemies taking turns. My guess is that the Series S can't handle Hellblade 1's frenetic combat at this level of visual fidelity.
@XBOXWire They need to have unlimited pre-orders until a certain date and limit the number of consoles to whatever that pre-order number ends up being. That's the only way they're going to keep this console from being relentlessly scalped.
@Otherphazon13 Mario Kart World disappointed me too, but I'm otherwise happy with my Switch 2. Handheld Boost Mode is great for Switch games, and quite a few Switch games have Switch 2 versions. Also, it has impressive third-party support (Pragmata, Cronos, RE Requiem, Indiana Jones, etc.).
