Aversion from Jews is natural.
You're not a bad person - and I don't dislike you- if you don't like Jews.
But your hatred of us is tearing your own country asunder. The untrue peddling of age-old conspiracies is harmful. You're missing tremendous opportunities.
Let's talk.
@RuRo1959@catturd2 Maybe. Maybe it's a facade. But we knew Vance, it's nothing new. Maybe letting him be the mouthpiece is a strategy. Who knows? We'll have a chance to choose between J.D. and Rubio in 2028.
@LucasGageX@JeremyDBoreing Jeremy's message to people in your previous mindset was stunning and so profound: The world is not running on deep human conspiratorial machinations. Your fate is in God's hands and in yours. Don't dispair.
@LucasGageX@JeremyDBoreing Very interesting. Jeremy's a true intellect, very articulate. With time, consider his points regarding how your past affects your views on Israel. We (Jews) won't discuss that, because we respect you greatly for the steps you already took. But he's an outsider.
@LauraLoomer Agreed. President Trump has not changed - he is courageous and his heart is in the right place. There's a method to this game. Trust the system when Trump's at the helm.
Ultimately though, everything is in God's hands.
@civicheathen@LucasGageX That being said, often times Kabbalah will be quoted here and there by commentators, and that's fine. But it's not typically learned as a stand-alone by >95% of the population.
@dremicdre@BenjaminBadejo Inaccurate. If pushed into a corner, Israel can go scorched earth, eliminate more of the threat, make the losses to great to maintain. The interceptors allow the response to be more measured, out of lack of urgency.
America needs Israel more than Israel needs America, and if you disagree, it’s because you don’t speak Hebrew.
Or Arabic.
You really have no idea.
There is more intelligence, technology, creativity and power in Israel than you can possibly imagine. Its mere existence should tell you that betting against or underestimating Israel is the stupidest thing anyone can ever do.
I love both countries, but I say this to Americans who don’t understand (some of whom are just unaware, and some of whom are intentionally obtuse about reality): please do not delude yourself. Shake yourself out of this fundamental misunderstanding immediately.
Believe it or not, Israelis — and Jews more broadly — are extremely polite, unassuming and frankly quiet about their contributions to society and to the security of Western nations, both because of the humility that is an essential aspect of Judaism, and because humility is a strategic choice for a small group of people who punch above their weight with a frequency and impact that defies logic.
The delusion of Israeli dependence on America is precisely that.
A delusion.
Wake up quickly.
@civicheathen@LucasGageX I totally get why there's Jew-aversion from white Americans. It's not evil. We're a confusing bunch. Plus, if you don't really know us, it's easy to conflate the leftist twisted ideas many secular Jews hold, with the looks and garb of religious Jews, and voila...craziness.
@civicheathen@LucasGageX That's crazy! 😁 I don't like FOTR. Too Hollywood, and stupid Jewish stereotypes and platitudes drive me crazy (my wife is a matchmaker...).
@civicheathen@LucasGageX The religious/orthodox Jews will go to Israel. The rest, although "real Jews", will either return to the fold, assimilate completely, or under-breed out of existence. Still, we do figuratively roll our eyes when a progressive Jew calls himself Jewish, but pray they return.
@civicheathen@LucasGageX Interesting question. There's definitely truth to that. Historically it's complicated, b/c there have been many exiles and displacements of peoples over the thousands of years. It's a super-interesting topic in of itself, but we don't attribute any practical importance to it.
@civicheathen@LucasGageX cot'd: If, however, the relationship falls apart, partially b/c of anti-Jewish sentiment from immigrant (read: Muslim) minorities, that will continue the devolution of the USA.
