Not necessarily a person, but the algorithm of another social media app has put me on to some impressive songstresses on this week:
Imani Archer - "DENIAL IS DEADLY";
Lala - "Do Better" (coming soon);
Dani Offline - "Angel";
Tyler Lewis - "TIL DEATH DO US PART".
Huge shout-out to these marvelous ladies.
Don't sleep on them. 🫵🏿
Just so you know:
She got a song on the way called "Do Better", and it has so much potential to be in high rotation around here. 🔂
I mean, this warm, sleek, elegant instrumentation and arrangement along with her sweet, yet seductive vocal performance just tells you enough. 😉
On top of that, she was 1 of Mariah Carey's background singers @ the Rockefeller Center's tree lighting event, as well as an opening act for Pop acts like Sabrina Carpenter and Shawn Mendes.
She even received props from other astounding songstresses, such as JoJo and Muni Long.
She was also featured on Rolling Stone and i-D Magazine, and landed 6 compositions for the latest film projects for BET & Paramount+.
Plus, I should also mention about her standout entry for the NPR Music's "Tiny Desk" contest, in 2022.
She performed "Love Letters From My Ex".
Well, I discovered Lala's music yesterday, and man, she's something else. 😮💨
The Hell's Kitchen-born actress turned songstress been around for a while as an independent artist by making very interesting moves on the music scene, captivating people with her sheer, heavenly voice.
I haven’t been on Twitter or tweeted anything in so long, but I just redownloaded it solely to post this picture of my dog Bc I believe it could be a meme
This week in the Listening Room, actress and singer/songwriter @inthelandoflala serenaded us with a performance of her single "Maybe."
