@the_aussie_game It is better for lets say, City to spend 300K on a young Mariners/Roar talent than on a B-Tier Visa's salary.
Players potentially would get longer contracts, knowing they could be sold rather than the merry go round of mutual terminations and short term contracts.
I am fine with SMFC joining - whoever can be a stable, financially secure team is good for the league.
However the APL will ask them for $25M for the licence and I can only see that creating more friction between everyone.

@the_aussie_game No licence fee other than commitment to the cap minimums. Keep cap minimum tied to the TV rights deal payout for that period.
Then finalise a domestic transfer policy so that clubs can spend as much as they want on talent - but still have to fit the wages into a cap structure.
