@InTheoryPod The problem is how much those other changes are downplayed for women, perhaps, as much as that ‘motherhood’ is overemphasised. Having kids DID change who I was, but becoming a prof did, too, quite possibly more. Anyway, thanks for the thought-provoking!

@InTheoryPod Just listened to the mini-ep—congratulations on the new person! One thought—I’d suggest that birth is indeed often transformative, but so is grad school, moving cities, a new job, marriage, etc. We become ‘whole new people’ quite frequently.
